Care Concierge
Care Concierge is designed for customers who are in need of support when it comes to navigating the UK Care system, this could be because they have elderly relatives who are becoming less independent or loved ones who are facing a disability or degenerative condition. We are adding this service onto our retail protection products to support our customers who may be in this position now or in the future, this service is suitable for the overall Target Market for each of our products. Adding this service does not alter the target market of any of our products nor does it change the fair value assessment of our products.
The UK’s care system is complex, fragmented, and underfunded.
In 2021 Legal & General took steps to address the later life care challenge and launched the L&G Care Service, helping people to understand, find and fund later life care.
Designed for customers who face caring responsibilities, the core principles of the service are to support consumers at a time of crisis and connect them to expert guidance related to providing care for another person through a telephone support helpline and digital platform.
Within L&G Retail protection, we are looking to offer this service to New Customers purchasing a retail protection product from the launch date.
The service will be available across all products, for customers and their family to utilise if and when they need it.
• Life Insurance
• Critical illness
• Income Protection
• Whole of Life Insurance
• Guaranteed Over 50’s
• Relevant Life Insurance
This service can be used by the life assured and their family, including their partner, children and parents. The Freephone helpline will be available Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm
