Marketing Assistant Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Marketing Assistant to support our marketing team in executing various marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational and time management skills, with a keen interest in to providing excellence service to internal and external stakeholders.

Full time head office based
37.5 hours
Monday – Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Manage content updates on our WordPress website, ensuring all information is current and optimised for SEO.
  • Support management tasks by coordinating allocations, marketing calendars, and communication among team members.
  • Create and maintain reports using Excel to track campaign performance and provide insights for future strategies.
  • Collaborate with team members to brainstorm new ideas for marketing initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure alignment on marketing goals.

Skills:

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent time management abilities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Hubspot and experience with WordPress is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey ideas clearly.
  • Basic project management skills to assist in coordinating marketing efforts.

Senior Product & Business Manager

Rob looks after our TMA partner relationships and leads the business in securing and bringing new partners onto panel. Having been in the industry since 1979, Rob is a familiar face to many, and his areas of product expertise and experience are too numerous to list here, but having weathered the historic peaks and troughs of the Mortgage market through the years Rob brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge to the TMA team.
A little more about Rob…
A proud Brummie, ‘born and bred’, Rob is also a keen supporter of Birmingham City and Warwickshire CC…and Canterbury Crusaders RFC. It’s safe to assume that Rob loves his football! When he’s not following the football, he can be found entertaining his grandkids. Robs favourite places in the world are Dubai, UAE (for the sun!) and Queenstown, New Zealand (for the food, beer, relaxation and scenery).

Louise Evans

Head of Operations

As Head of Operations Louise looks after the Broker Support Team and the TMA Marketing Team, so her days are often very busy! Whether she is managing our partner relationships, helping to shape the marketing strategy or supporting the wider team, she is always on the go! Louise has been in Financial Services for 19 years and brings with her a wealth of experience and knowledge to the whole team.
A bit more about Louise…
When not at work, Louise says she is most likely to be found shopping. Her favourite travel destination is Australia and in a film of her life, Sandra Bullock would play her. Louise is proud of what her team have achieved so far this year and says she is passionate about ‘continuing to adapt as a team to ensure we support our advisers and partners to achieve their goals.'

Sarah looks after our Sales Team and also manages our Key Accounts for the North of England, Northern Ireland and Scotland. Passionate and driven, Sarah takes pride in helping to support our members through any challenges that they may face.

My family

What are you most proud of achieving so far this year?
I am proud of how through sheer hard graft, our brokers, myself and our full TMA Team have adapted to the challenges we have faced, to achieve fantastic results this year.
Favourite place in the world?
Home! Though my favourite place to go on holiday is Santorini, Greece.

Sarah McKenna

Key Account Manager

Sarah has worked in the Mortgage industry since 2003, starting her career with a broker before managing a team of mortgage advisers in a Building Society. In her spare time she enjoys sweating it out in a Spin class or in the gym and having cocktails with her friends, life is all about balance!
Learn a bit more about Jackie…

Jackie’s favourite place in the world is Teignmouth, Devon, where she goes as often as she can.
When she isn’t working, you can find Jackie doing crafts like sewing and baking, or walking her two fur babies, Lili and Daisy.
Jackie says the best part of her day is, ‘evenings spent in with my family’.

Justin Hawes

Key Account Manager

Justin is our Key Account Manager for TMA members in the South of England and London. Justin has been working in the Mortgage industry for over 20 years and can usually (in more ‘normal’ times) be found travelling across the South East, offering bespoke support packages to our TMA members and their businesses.

A few facts about Justin…
Justin supports Tottenham (for football) and Sussex (for cricket).
He enjoys travel, and his favourite way to relax at the end of a busy day is with a nice cold beer.
When asked ‘who would play you in a film about your life?’ he answered Brad Pitt…or Mr Bean!

Ronnie Molloy

Key Account Manager

Ronnie is the newest member of our Sales Team, joining TMA as Key Account Manager in February 2022. Ronnie's previous 6 years’ experience in Financial Services include working as a Recruitment Manager for a large Directly Authorised business and as Business Development Manager for another mortgage club.

You will usually find Ronnie travelling the country for work or visiting family and friends, and supporting his favourite Rugby Club, Worcester Warriors.

Kelly Kenton

Marketing Executive

Kelly is the newest member of our Marketing Team; joining to support the team as Marketing Executive. Kelly's role is to create content and raise awareness for the various propositions within the business.
Kelly is an experienced marketer with over 10 years’ experience working in the not-for-profit sector, retail and business consultancy.
In her spare time, Kelly enjoys spending time with her young family, going for walks and cooking.

Leah is from Coventry and is new to the financial services industry, having transitioned from events marketing into this exciting field. Leah is a self-motivated learner who thrives on challenges and aspires to make a real impact in the industry. She also values the collaborative and social atmosphere of the team.
Kelly is an experienced marketer with over 10 years’ experience working in the not-for-profit sector, retail and business consultancy.
In her spare time, Kelly enjoys spending time with her young family, going for walks and cooking.

Frazer Shaw

Multimedia & Design Executive

Frazer is one of our TMA Designers. He helps to create any of the digital work for TMA (including this very website!) Frazer has been in the creative industry since graduating university 10 years ago and has worked in the Financial Services sector for just over 4 years.

I like to solve problems. There is nothing I enjoy more than finding a solution for something which has been stumping me.

What are you proud of achieving so far this year?
I'm incredibly proud of the way that the entire Marketing team have responded to the COVID world and the solutions we have come up with to keep wow-ing our members.

Secret super-power?
An ability to stay awake. Usually, it's a curse, not a super-power. But it has its uses.

The best part of your day?
Coming back from work and being fussed by my dog. Everyone should have a dog to welcome you home!

Nathan Williams

Creative Designer

Nath is one half of our dynamic Design Team at TMA and as Creative Director he ensures that the TMA brand reflects our company ethos, and makes us stand out from the crowd. Nath hails from Staffordshire and has been in the industry for 16 years.

His favourite films are the Star Wars franchise
When not at work, he can mostly be found riding his Harley
When asked: ‘Who would play you in a film about your life?’ His answer was, ‘that big bearded guy from The Hangover film’
The song that’s most likely to get him on the dancefloor is Souls of Mischief, 93 ‘Til Infinity.

Earl Gardiner

Broker Support Team Leader

Earl is an integral part of our Broker Services Team, and works alongside Ali and Lois to support our TMA members. Known within the team as ‘The Criteria King’, Earl’s 16 years in the industry mean he is well placed to assist with any criteria queries, hard to place cases or anything else that our advisers might need.

A bit more about Earl…

Earl supports Manchester United.

His favourite time of day is, ‘after 8pm, when the wife and kids are all asleep!’

The song that’s guaranteed to get him on the dancefloor is Candy, by Cameo.

Alison Duffield

Intermediary Development Consultant

Ali is one of our longest-serving TMA staff, and is well-known both amongst our members for ‘going the extra mile’ when it comes to customer service. Originally from Nottingham, Ali has been working in the industry for 37 years and still gives 110% every day. Ali says that her inspiration every day comes from, ‘loving my job and the people I work with, from colleagues to customers – it really makes my job worthwhile’.

A few facts about Ali…

Ali is a proud supporter of Nottingham Forest football team.

Her favourite book is The Magic, by Rhonda Byrne.

Ali’s favourite places to travel are San Francisco and Venice (she says she left her heart in one, and found her heart in the other!)

Surinder Pike

Intermediary Development Consultant

Surinder is the newest memeber of the TMA Broker Support Team. She has 10+ years of financial services expericance, having previsouly worked at firms such as The West Brom and RBS. Surinder, is a team player and will always give 110%.

She is a born and bred brummie and although she has travelled extensively, a place closer to home, Ireland, has her heart.

Heather Jeffery

Telephone Sales & Relationship Consultant

Heather is another ‘home-grown’ Brummie! Passionate about relationship building, Heather has been a part of the Mortgage Industry for 39 years and has always been interested in Mortgages – so her role as our Telephone Relationship Manager is a perfect fit! By keeping our members updated on what’s going on at TMA and nurturing our member relationships, Heather ensures that they are supported in on boarding to new services and keeps our firms informed on new initiatives to keep them one step ahead of the competition.

Roger Holmes

Area Supervision Manager

Roger Holmes joined from Halifax Bank, where he worked as a mortgage adviser, branch manager and area mortgage manager.

Paul Walton

Area Supervision Manager

All of Paul’s working life has been spent in Financial Services. His first 35 years were with Lloyds Banking Group where he undertook a number of different roles, including business banking. He then set up an AR firm with First Complete (part of LSL Financial Services), before making the decision to move into a Compliance role.
Paul is married with two sons, and enjoys all types of sport, travelling, eating out and gardening.
His favourite destination is Greece and he’s been a Man. City support for 50 years – through thick, and mainly thin times!

Alison Stidolph

Area Supervision Manager

Alison previously worked for Lloyds Banking Group for more than 26 years and later joined a local estate agents broker team in the North East of England as a compliance manager.
